Looking through a memory lens
All the moves start making sense
It’s like it’s wrapping up my brain
It’s not as good as it’ll get
I’m making my way up life’s ascent
The energy follows me all the way home
Looking through a rose-hued lens
So consumed with pretty thoughts of where we’ve been
And where we’re going
I play it in my head
Asking all the questions
Hey, can I flow through to you?
The energy follows me all the way home
And wherever I go
Cast a shadow
Right on cue
As light pours through
And though the energy clings
Everyday still feels new
The energy clings
Everyday still feels new
Alvvays has always been great, but with this album they took it to the next level. Every one of these songs is lodged in my brain now, permanently (in a good way). s. moxley
